Rising energy costs have hit many small to medium sized businesses especially hard, but the Small Commercial Comprehensive Refrigeration (“Cool Biz”) Program from KEMA Inc. can help offset the high cost of energy efficiency upgrades. The Cool Biz Program is designed to provide comprehensive energy efficiency measures to small and medium sized commercial businesses with refrigeration.

The Cool Biz Program has high incentive levels, which provide short payback periods and low measure installation costs for customers. Contractors also benefit from these incentive levels because the Program effectively sells itself, allowing Contractors to minimize marketing efforts and focus on working directly with participating customers.

KEMA has designed this program to promote the installation of refrigeration equipment and controls and other measures for small to medium commercial and industrial businesses. Funding is limited, and the program is available on a first-come, first served basis while funding lasts.

Small businesses can typically save as much money and prevent as much pollution, per square foot, as large organizations. (Source: EPA)
